Music Producer Chikoss had previously been working on a project that involved instrumentals with a little touch of country style. He presented the idea for a Happy-Go-Lucky song to Kyle C., and showed him his undisclosed track.  Kyle was instantly captivated by it and began working on the lyrics for the song they later titled Smile. He was so inspired by the amazingly rhythmic instrumentals that it only took him a couple of days to write the first three lyrical drafts of Smile.  However, both Kyle's and Chikoss' personal life was a little hectic at the time, which brought the entire project to a halt. Several months went by, accompanied by a series of challenging events. Interestingly enough, this gave Kyle the opportunity to change and improve some of the lyrics in order to add more depth to the song.
